[Self care is a lot more than eating healthy self care is taking care of you. So if that means eating a heap of chips, having a nap, watching cheesy movies, crying, going for a walk, looking at cats, or anything that makes you feel good, do it, because you are worth taking care of.]

You know you’re a transmisogynist when…
…your theory about dmab trans people actively erases dmab trans people of color and disabled dmab trans people.

Maybe it’s just the circle’s I’ve been running in, but I feel like society hates me for being a man and white.
I’ve never done anything against women or other ethnic groups.
I didn’t oppress women’s rights
I didn’t enslave you, and you were never a slave
So quit being a bigot yourself and saying that all white men are evil and oppressive.
Fuck.
we do hate you for being a man and white
go away evil oppressor
I’m SO curious whether or not you’re joking or not, because I can’t tell.
Here’s a hint, dude, if the worst thing you have to go through in life is people telling you you’re privileged because you’re white, I THINK YOU HAVE IT PRETTY GOOD.
Reblogging for commentary. XD

Poverty is not simply having no money — it is isolation, vulnerability, humiliation and mistrust. It is not being able to differentiate between employers and exploiters and abusers. It is contempt for the simplistic illusion of meritocracy — the idea that what we get is what we work for. It is knowing that your mother, with her arthritic joints and her maddening insomnia and her post-traumatic stress disordered heart, goes to work until two in the morning waiting tables for less than minimum wage, or pushes a janitor’s cart and cleans the shit-filled toilets of polished professionals. It is entering a room full of people and seeing not only individual people, but violent systems and stark divisions. It is the violence of untreated mental illness exacerbated by the fact that reality, from some vantage points, really does resemble a psychotic nightmare. It is the violence of abuse and assault which is ignored or minimized by police officers, social services, and courts of law. Poverty is conflict. And for poor kids lucky enough to have the chance to “move up,” it is the conflict between remaining oppressed or collaborating with the oppressor.

Here’s the thing about genital attractions too
A lot of these radscum and other cisfucks who’re like “we’re only into genitals that’s why we won’t fuck you” still won’t fuck a trans woman who has a vagina. Similar little inconsistencies float around among these people that really show the entire thing to be a lying liar cisfucks who lie smokescreen.
That they really just hate and are revolted by trans women (trans people in general really, it’s just that this hits trans women the hardest) due to their bigotry and that they’ll do anything to hide that.
So when someone’s like, “I’m only into vagina that’s why I’m not into you” (especially if they were into me before they knew I was trans) I’m gonna be really suspicious of their motives and mindset and shit until I have some serious evidence that it really is about genitals.
I got a friend who’s like, “you’re hot, I just really like sticking my dick in places and you don’t have a vag yet and I know you can’t do anal”. That is a valid use of genital attraction as a reason.
I got a “friend” (more like someone I’m forced to deal with on a daily basis who drives me up a fucking wall) who’s like, “I like vaginas” and then later when he was drunk maintained that he wouldn’t have sex with a trans woman with a vagina cuz “it’s just different”. That is not a valid use of genital attraction as a reason. That is trans misogyny.
If you say, “I’m into genitals” think fucking hard about how true that really is and check your damn privilege.

In Which I Try To Explain The Differences Between Racism, Discrimination, and Prejudice Using Geometric Shapes
I find myself constantly trying to get people to understand the differences between racism, discrimination, and prejudice. While racism encapsulates discrimination and prejudice, discrimination doesn’t encapsulate racism and prejudice encapsulates neither. This is a concept that I have trouble putting into words, making it even harder for other people to understand. However, I found that this concept is shared by three simple geometric concepts that should make it easier to understand.
This is a quadrilateral.
Let’s pretend that this quadrilateral is ignorance. Just like the quadrilateral, ignorance is the most basic of its kind. Ignorance breeds bigotry, quadrilaterals form more specific quadrilaterals.
Got it? Good.Moving on.
This is a parallelogram.
This parallelogram is prejudice. Prejudice is unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes towards a group of people. A parallelogram is a type of quadrilateral just like prejudice is a type of ignorance. However, not all quadrilaterals are parallelograms and not all forms of ignorance are prejudice.
This is a rectangle
This rectangle represents discrimination. Discrimination is an action based on prejudice. As in, actively allowing their prejudice to make decisions and the like. Rectangles are forms of parallelograms just like discrimination is based on prejudice. However, a person can choose not to act on their prejudices. It’s incredibly hard, but possible. Therefore, not all prejudice is discrimination just like not all parallelograms are rectangles.
Finally, this is a square.
A square is a rectangle, a parallelogram, and a quadrilateral. Racism is a system comprised of discrimination, prejudice, and ignorance. The requirements of a square call for all sides to be of equal length. The requirements for racism, being a system, call for one group to have more privilege and power than other groups. All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. All squares are parallelograms, but not all parallelograms are squares. All squares are quadrilaterals, but not all quadrilaterals are squares. It is possible to be prejudiced but not racist. It is possible to be discriminatory, but not racist. However, again, racism calls for an entire group to have more power and privilege than other groups. People of color do not have the power to create a system where white people have less power and privilege.
I hope this makes things easier to understand.

I need transfeminism…
Because an “LGBT” organization reporting school officials’ humiliation of a gay teen and his trans prom date give barely a passing mention to the effects on her.

The queer community’s first fights were fought by trans women and AMAB gender non-conforming people and paid for by queer people of color, never forget that.
